Once the background has reappeared behind Mirai Ninja, the stage title has appeared on the screen and the stage's theme (which is identical to that of the first one, only without the introduction), start running to the right while the Kanji characters Kokoro Odoroki shiki getto (心驚士気月門) are appearing in the sky and collect the Waza (green) powerup in front of you in order to throw three shurikens at once for a short period of time; four Karasu will then fly into view from the right side of the screen. Once you've jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them from behind to kill them you will have to continue to the right as three Hi No Dan drop out of the sky and make craters in the ground upon impact - and four Hanzou Hattori and three Sasuke will then come running towards you as an enormous brown ship flies past in the background. Once you have thrown three shurikens at each of them to kill them, a Jinja Walker will come walking towards you while firing lasers at you; once you've jumped up and thrown enough shurikens at it to kill it four more Karasu will fly into view from the right side of the screen. Once you've jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them to kill them you can jump up to collect the Chikara (yellow) powerup above you if you need the extra energy - and four more Karasu will now fly into view from the right side of the screen. Once you've jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of these four to kill them, you can jump up to collect a second Waza (green) powerup above you in order to extend the duration of that three-shuriken attack; four more Karasu will now fly into view from the left side of the screen. Once you have jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them from behind to kill them three more Hi No Dan will drop out of the sky and make craters in the ground upon impact - and four more Karasu will then fly into view from the right side of the screen. Once you have jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them, to kill them, three more Sasuke will come running towards you; once you have thrown three shurikens at each of them to kill them, a Domu will come running towards you. Once you have thrown enough shurikens at him, to kill him, four more Karasu will fly into view from the left side of the screen - and once you have jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them from behind to kill them another Jinja Walker will come walking towards you while firing lasers at you. Once you have jumped up and thrown enough shurikens at it to kill it, four more Karasu will fly into view from the right side of the screen; once you have jumped up and thrown three shurikens at each of them to kill them, you can jump up to collect the second Chikara (yellow) powerup above you if you need the extra energy before coming up to an enormous battering ram with two Taiho that are firing projectiles at you from their positions on its lower front. Once you have jumped up and thrown enough shurikens at both of them to kill them, jump onto the battering ram's lower front as you come up to a third Taiho that is facing away from you - and once you have thrown enough shurikens at it to kill it, jump up to the battering ram's lookout tower (which has a Zaku swinging his mace around in it, so you must time your jump carefully in order not to get hit by it). Once you have thrown enough shurikens at the Zaku to kill him, jump up onto the battering ram's barrel on its left side; there are three Tourou hovering in place above it which will fire laser beams down at you while you are passing under them. Once you have jumped up and thrown a shuriken at each of them to kill them, you will have to drop down off the end of the barrel in order to collect a third Waza (green) powerup in order to throw three shurikens at once for another short period of time before landing on the ground below - and you will now have to jump back up onto the battering ram's lower front before jumping back up to the lookout tower. Once you have done so, drop down onto the battering ram's caterpillar treads on its right side; that hologrammatical image of the Evil Master Shikinami Kurosagi will appear just before you have landed, which means that it is time for a boss battle once again. As the "boss" theme starts to be heard from that Yamaha YM-2151 for a second time in the game, Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacks by jumping into the air and trying to land on Mirai Ninja, so you must run under him to the other side of the caterpillar treads as he is doing so before turning round and starting to throw shurikens at him - and once you have thrown enough shurikens at him, he will pull the ripcord on his waist in order to create three exact copies of himself. All four Hideyoshi will now jump into the air and try to land on Mirai Ninja simultaneously or try to slash him with their swords at close range; the best way to attack them is to either jump into the air and throw shurikens at them or crouch down and slash them with your own sword at close range. There is also a fourth Tourou hovering in place above the right side of the caterpillar treads, which will regenerate after a few seconds if you jump up and slash it with your sword at close range to kill it - but if you jump up and slash it with your sword at close range to kill it again, it will only be worth 10 points instead of the usual 340. Despite this fact, it is still a source of infinite points (like the Semushi Men that Inari summoned to jump out of the ground at the end of that first stage). Once you have thrown enough shurikens at three of the Hideyoshi or slashed them with your sword at close range enough times to defeat them they will explode and leave three additional Chikara (yellow) powerups behind which you can collect if you need the extra energy; once you have thrown enough shurikens at the fourth one or slashed him with your sword enough times to defeat him, he will explode too and that "stage clear" theme will be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 for a third time as Mirai Ninja runs off the right side of the screen and proceeds to the fourth stage (which, much like the second one, has a multitude of paths that can be taken through it). Also, if Mirai Ninja happened to defeat the last Hideyoshi while he was standing on the right side of the caterpillar treads, he will run off the edge of the treads and through the air (for a second time, if he happened to be standing upon the right side of the roof of the last building when he defeated Oda Nobunaga on that aforementioned second stage)!
