These are the items in Duke Nukem Forever:

Weapons[edit]

The majority of the weapons in Duke Nukem make a reappearance in the game. Duke can only carry 2 weapons at a time (although there is an option to increased it to four in the options menu). The Trip-wire and the pipe bombs count as a different category of weapons and are not part of the weapon limit. The kick has been replaced with Duke's fists.

  • Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG): Max 50 rounds. Explosive; will hurt player if too close.

Inventory[edit]

There are no medical kits in the game, due to Duke having regenerating health when he is not in battle.

  • Steroids
  • Holoduke: Creates a virtual Duke that enemies will fire at, instead of the real Duke. Can be turned on and off; will deplete as used.
  • Duke vision goggles: replaces the Night vision goggles. Allow better visibility in the dark; highlights enemies, although it takes a few seconds to focus. Can be turned on and off; will not deplete as used.
  • Beer
  • Whiskey (multiplayer only)
  • Jetpack (multiplayer only)

Pick-up items[edit]

  • Turd: usually found in toilets. Picking one up will give an achievement/trophy.
